Medical and
Residential Building Project

MEDICAL AND RESIDENTIAL HIGH-RISE, DÜSSELDORF-HEERDT NEW BUILDING

About the project

Based on a design by Berlin architect Jürgen Mayer H., a 70-meter-tall building with striking architecture and an innovative layout has been constructed on the site of the Heerdt Hospital. The lower five floors are dedicated to medical use, featuring doctors’ offices and an operating room area on the fifth floor, which is connected to the neighboring Dominikus Hospital via a bridge. The remaining 14 floors are intended for residential use.

Mayer H. won the competition with this extraordinary design. The building appears to be twisted on its axis, so that sections of the facade protrude at different levels, creating space for large terraces.
