About the project

Renovation of the historic building housing the Schwarzwald-Baar Savings Bank headquarters in Donaueschingen, as well as construction of a new bank building. The building is heated and cooled exclusively using geothermal energy.

Green Building

  • Geothermal energy system with 58 geothermal probes for cooling and heating
  • 3,500 m² of cooling ceilings 7
  • Partial air conditioning systems, cooling via geothermal probes
  • 150 kW heat pump system for supplemental heating
  • Building climate control powered solely by geothermal energy
