CHARITÉ BERLIN RENOVATION OF HIGH-RISE BED BUILDING AND NEW CONSTRUCTION WITH 15 OPS INCL. INTENSIVE CARE UNIT (OPS/ITS BUILDING)
About the project
In parallel with the renovation of the inpatient wing, a completely new building is being constructed to house the central surgical and intensive care units as well as the emergency department. It will feature 15 state-of-the-art operating rooms, three of which are designated for outpatient procedures. The intensive care unit will have a total of 70 beds in single and double rooms.
Scope of services
Planning for the complete renovation of the Charité-Mitte University Hospital Tower, with approximately 65,000 m² of gross floor area, the construction of a new building housing 15 operating rooms and an intensive care unit (approximately 25,000 m²), and the renovation of the entire campus-wide cooling plant (11 MW) while operations continue. Integration of the MSR/GLT systems across the entire campus into the GLT system. The entire fire suppression system utilizes a high-pressure mist system.
