Over a period of 10 years, the entire production facility of Biologische Heilmittel Heel GmbH was renovated while operations continued.

Scope of work:

1. Expansion and renovation of pharmaceutical production area / Building 5
: Renovation of the pharmaceutical production area in Building 5, covering 5,500 m², while operations continued, as well as an expansion of 1,800 m². Trades: Plumbing, heating, HVAC and refrigeration, CO₂ fire suppression system, ultrapure water (AP), deionized water (VE), steam, compressed air, measurement and control technology (MSR/GLT), vacuum, high- and low-voltage electrical systems, media technology, and ethanol supply. GMP- and FDA-compliant production had to be maintained at all times. Area: Gross floor area 7,300 m²

2. Complete renovation of the microbiological S2 laboratory with office spaces, bulk final inspection (laboratory and office), culture medium preparation area, isolator room, stability testing, raw material inspection / Building 2:
Complete renovation and redesign of the laboratories and office areas in Building 2. Trades: HVAC, refrigeration, measurement and control/building management systems, heating, plumbing and utility systems, electrical engineering, installation of a ventilation control center. Area: Gross floor area 1,000 m²

3. Conversion and renovation of Class C cleanroom / Building 3, 3rd floor / (filling & sterilization of ampoules)
Conversion and complete renovation of the Class C cleanroom in Building 3, including personnel and material airlocks, sterile ampoule filling, and ointment production. Trades: Plumbing, heating, HVAC, refrigeration, compressed air, WFI/AP water, measurement and control/building management systems, IT, high- and low-voltage electrical systems, and monitoring system.

4. Feasibility study and preliminary design for the expansion of the high-bay warehouse with order picking / Building 7
Feasibility study and preliminary design for the expansion of the high-bay warehouse with order picking in Building 7, featuring five aisles for all utility systems. Geothermal cooling.

5. Air Conditioning and Capacity Expansion / Building 3
Installation of an air conditioning system, including control and refrigeration technology, in Building 3. Packaging areas during ongoing operations and capacity expansion for tablet production. Area: Gross Floor Area 3,200 m²

6. Renovation of the pharmacy and renovation of the steam plant in the annex / Building 3.
Renovation of the pharmacy and renovation of the steam plant in the annex of Building 3. Trades: Plumbing, heating, refrigeration, ventilation, compressed air, monitoring, fire alarm system, steam, high- and low-voltage electrical systems in Buildings 3 and 5. Area: Gross floor area 322 m²
