HAMBURG PUBLISHER’S BUILDING – MULTIPLE REFURBISHMENT PROJECTS

The project
Cooling system refurbishment: A technology competition was held for the ground-breaking refurbishment of a cooling system with approximately 4 MW of cooling capacity at the Hamburg site. Liebert beat nine other engineering firms to win the ideas section of the contest. Liebert convinced the judges with a concept that reduces energy costs by 30% and connection costs by 1 MW using new, intelligent hydraulic switches in the building. They were then appointed as planners and site managers for the refurbishment of the publisher’s cooling system, including the ICE/BMS technology and split units. This refurbishment was performed during ongoing operations and while maintaining a constant, secure cooling supply to the data centres.

Survey regarding full refurbishment of the publisher’s building, refurbishment of technical control centres / rendering self-sufficient, refurbishment of kitchen air exhaust system

Rendering three construction sections self-sufficient
Separating all of the technical supply systems to make the three buildings self-sufficient, so that each building has an independent technical supply system.
