Heating technology is a key factor in ensuring comfort within a building. It plays a crucial role in making sure that employees find their workplace and residents find their living spaces comfortable.
The requirements for heating technology have changed significantly in recent years. Stringent demands regarding energy efficiency, reduction of CO2 emissions, legal requirements such as the Building Energy Act (GEG), and the need to lower heating costs while simultaneously meeting growing expectations for user comfort have led to the development of a wide range of innovative technologies.
LIEBERT designs innovative and customized heating systems:

- Biogas systems
- Combined heat and power plants
- Heat pump systems
- Solar systems

- Local heating concepts using wells and decentralized heat pumps
- Heat recovery systems
- Geothermal systems for heating and cooling
The IT infrastructure and equipment in a data center require a different HVAC solution than employees in an open-plan office, doctors in a hospital, or industrial processes. In the first step, it is therefore the task of our planners to analyze and understand these different requirements in order to develop a customized solution for the specific climate control needs of your project. For this reason, we also refer to process technology as a complement to building services and implement exactly the customized solution that meets the needs of your facility.

A sustainable energy supply can only be achieved by increasing the share of renewable energy sources in the energy mix while ensuring that conversion processes are as efficient as possible. To accomplish this, it is not only necessary to develop new technologies but also to integrate them into the corresponding modified processes. New equipment and systems must be deployed that better meet the criteria of energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources than existing technology.
User comfort and operational reliability also play a major role. For example, lighting can significantly alter the mood and working atmosphere in a room. We support you in meeting a wide variety of requirements through planning and construction management for renovation projects and new buildings with:

- Fire alarm systems, planning certified according to DIN 14675
- IT networks, including active components
- BUS systems
- Photovoltaic systems
- CHP systems
- Electric mobility
Lighting simulations
When daylight and artificial light interact, the optimal lighting solution for a given situation can only be determined through lighting simulations. Using virtual models, we present the results in a realistic manner, allowing us to assess the visual appearance and lighting effects. Simulating natural and artificial lighting provides planning certainty and enables cost-effective and efficient lighting concepts. For lighting simulations, we use the Dialux and Relux systems. Our services in detail are:
- Evaluation of daylighting concepts
- Preliminary assessment of daylight potential based on solar radiation data and building geometry
- 3-D visualization of lighting effects
- Schematic representation of light distribution in the floor plan
- Photorealistic rendering of rooms and luminaires
- Selection and evaluation of daylighting system components
- Consulting and evaluation regarding workstation layout
- Forecast and evaluation of daylight autonomy, i.e., the proportion of operating time during which artificial lighting is not required
- Selection and evaluation of artificial lighting operation
- Forecasting and evaluation of user comfort based on statistics of illuminance and luminance levels
- Forecasting and evaluation of annual glare behavior for offices, shading devices, or facade systems (dynamic calculation)
Advantages
- Early prevention of planning errors through realistic visualizations
- Improvement of visual comfort
- Evaluation of energy savings through daylight utilization
- Visualization of the room’s appearance
- Prevention of glare
- Optimization of daylight control

Compressed air supply systems, for example, are important and energy-intensive components of the manufacturing industry. Like power grids, they drive turbines, various machines, and components—such as gripper arms—in places where the use of electric motors is not practical. We have many years of experience with compressed air energy as well as the inspection and optimization of compressed air systems.
Vacuum and blown air supply is a frequent concern in the printing industry. Centralizing the blown air and vacuum supply typically results in significant energy savings, which positively impacts operating costs and competitiveness. After assessing all parameters on-site, we would be happy to provide you with a proposal for a modern blown air supply system.
Thermal after-combustion systems are used to clean exhaust air with high concentrations of pollutants. These pollutants are generated particularly during printing, laminating, and impregnation.
